Avionics for the Philippine General Aviation Community

Analog instrumentation has kept aircraft in the air for almost as long as we have been flying. With most of the advancements made in the aviation industry coming from military sector, general aviation in the Philippines has seen little in the way of progress. That is until now!

Garmin and Asian Aeronautics Services Inc. have changed all of that. For the last eight years Garmin has been voted the leader in avionics. Asian Aeronautics Services is the only authorized Garmin dealer offering the complete “In the Air” Garmin line of avionics equipment, service, and installation. With two decades of service to the aviation industry in the Philippines, AASI has the experience needed to get you upgraded and off the ground again.

Aviation safety is one of the major advantages there is to switching from analog equipment and gyros over to a Glass Panel retrofit. With the use of GPS technology and the Garmin interface you increase accuracy and lower the workload required to maintain flight. This in turn lets the pilot focus on more critical aspects of his duties. When you include Garmin’s Synthetic Vision Technology, Terrain Awareness and Warning System, Air Traffic, and Advanced Weather Monitoring; the analog avionics equipment doesn’t even come close to Garmin in regards to safety.

Now you can have all of the benefits of a “Glass Panel” in any aircraft. This is giving a breath of fresh air into Philippine general aviation. With the approval from Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the availability of the installation and service from AASI there isn’t an aircraft that can’t be fitted with the latest technology. Anything from helicopters to jets can be fitted with Garmin, and with AASI’s location at Clark International we remain extremely accessible to Asia’s aviation community.

G1000 for King Air

Garmin’s G1000 retrofit suite for King Air integrates all primary flight, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic, radio frequency, engine and fuel data readouts on large-format, high-definition LCDs. The cockpit layout features a central 15-inch multi-function display, flanked by 10.4-inch primary flight displays at the pilot and copilot positions. Because it integrates so many components into one system, the G1000 comes in at a weight far lower than most typical avionics installs.

172 Skyhawk

alt

What does Garmin, Cessna, and Asian Aeronautics Solutions Incorporated have in common? All three have a long history of service, built on solid records, and deliver the highest level of excellence in their respective fields. So simply put… PERFECTION! When this old Cessna 172 Skyhawk landed on our airstrip here at Clark she had little more than a compass. When AASI’s Small Craft Division was finished, even the Airbus A380 looked on with envy!
