AASI's Project Cessna

The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a four-seat, single-engine, high-wing fixed-wing aircraft. First flown in 1955 and still in production, more Cessna 172s have been built than any other aircraft. Even though this airplane has been in production for 56 years, and are basic compared to their turbine powered cousins, That doesn’t mean they have been left behind in the annals of history!

Asian Aeronautics Solutions Incorporated, Small Craft Division, had a chance to do a few modifications to an aging bird! After kicking the tires and taking it for a few hot laps AASI went to the warehouse and pulled a few items out of stock.

After a few weeks out rolled a new Cessna with a fresh coat of wax and… a glass cockpit only Garmin could produce. With so many computers you can practically let it fly its self, even if you do need a co-pilot to help keep track of the information.

G1000 for King Air

Garmin’s G1000 retrofit suite for King Air integrates all primary flight, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic, radio frequency, engine and fuel data readouts on large-format, high-definition LCDs. The cockpit layout features a central 15-inch multi-function display, flanked by 10.4-inch primary flight displays at the pilot and copilot positions. Because it integrates so many components into one system, the G1000 comes in at a weight far lower than most typical avionics installs.

172 Skyhawk

What does Garmin, Cessna, and Asian Aeronautics Solutions Incorporated have in common? All three have a long history of service, built on solid records, and deliver the highest level of excellence in their respective fields. So simply put… PERFECTION! When this old Cessna 172 Skyhawk landed on our airstrip here at Clark she had little more than a compass. When AASI’s Small Craft Division was finished, even the Airbus A380 looked on with envy!
